I gave myself an unexpected gift this weekend. My intention was to go to a Leaders and Workers Conference at Cedar St. Baptist Church. I was hoping to get some pointers to help me in ministry, but I received much more. I received Biblically based lessons not just about ministry, but that could also be applied to life. The sessions focused on leadership, missions, excellence, relationships, and giving. They were uplifting, inspiring, and convicting. The speakers were awesome, and so was the fellowship. Meeting new friends, and reconnecting with old friends including one from seminary. What a gift!
The conference was a valuable experience that touched on so many aspects of my life and I plan to use the information to inspire me in ministry and keep me focused in my everyday life. It's all about the intersection of real life and ministry. When our real life is connected to ministry (serving God's people) then that is one of the greatest gifts we can give to the world.
