While the discussion is appreciated I believe that many of us have missed the point. In most cases the accuser is given a cute little name describing the activity which somehow offended them or made them feel 'unsafe'. And that is the problem, We need to call these accusers what they are; terrorists, bullies, and thugs. If you think that these words are too harsh to refer to the accusers, let's take a closer look.
What would the media call a black man confronting an white family barbecuing in the park? What would the media call a black man blocking the entrance to a white woman's apartment? And when she could finally get around him, the black man would get on the elevator with her, and follow her to the door of her apartment. With just those two examples what would have happened to the accuser, the black man in this case when the police arrived?
You get the idea. Thuggish behavior by whites is treated differently than by blacks. There are no cute little names and fifteen minutes of fame. There would probably be an arrest and conviction instead. This is an example of the systematic racism and white privilege in America. it may not be intentional, but it is ingrained.
It's time for the media and all of us to stop calling them by the cute names and calling them out for what they are. A thug is a thug, even if you are a white woman.
