I am grateful for my health and health insurance. As I grew up in church I remember hearing the deacons pray, "thanking God for a reasonable portion of health and strength." I remember wondering what that meant, I found out a few years ago. My health is not perfect, but I consider myself to be in good health. staying healthy is a full-time job for me. I have to pay close attention to my body and make sure it receives everything it needs; food, water, exercise, medical care, and support from my network of family and friends rooted in faith. All of these elements work together to keep me with that reasonable portion of health and strength. Physical and mental health are interconnected so guarding the body and the mind is very important to me. Having good health insurance makes it easier to pay for the medical care I wouldn't be able to pay for on my own.
